As a parent, it’s not always easy to get into kids’ cartoons like NINJAGO, but I have to admit—this dragon is seriously awesome. The LEGO NINJAGO Arc Dragon of Focus (Set #71836) ended up being a really cool addition to my son’s growing collection.
It took about three hours for the two of us to put it together, and the build was fun from start to finish. With 869 pieces, this LEGO set definitely keeps you busy, but it’s totally worth it.
One of the coolest things about this set is the two-headed dragon, which has an eye-catching color scheme—one side is purple and the other is tan. Each dragon head has its own look with different horns and snout shapes, which makes the whole thing feel super unique. The dragon also moves really well. You can pose the legs, tail, necks, jaws, and claws, and there’s even a lever on its back that makes its foil wings pop out. Plus, it has a chest shooter, which adds even more action.
This set also comes with eight LEGO NINJAGO minifigures: Lloyd, Cole, Wyldfyre, Kai, Pixal, and the villains Drix, Zarkt, and a Dragonian Warrior. Having characters from The Forbidden Five and fan-favorite Pixal makes the set even better for storytelling and play. And to top it all off, there’s a spinjitzu spinner that lets you launch a minifigure into battle with a cool spinning move.
Overall, this is an epic LEGO NINJAGO dragon set that blends fun building, creative design, and exciting play features. Whether you’re a long-time NINJAGO fan or just getting into it with your kids, the Arc Dragon of Focus is a solid choice.
